Michael Saraka '89 (M), has been the alumni director at Slippery Rock University since May 2000. He grew up in Mountainside, NJ, and attended Jonathan Dayton Regional High School. He received a bachelor's degree in communication from Clarion University in 1986 and a master's degree in student personnel from SRU in 1989. Before coming to SRU, Michael worked at Bloomsburg University (1989-1991) and St. Francis University (1991-2000). He also served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard (1989-1995) as an armor platoon leader. He is a currently a human resources sergeant with the 1-107th Field Artillery Unit in the PA Army National Guard in New Castle.

Michael is married to the former Maureen Abram and they have a daughter Madeline. The Sarakas reside in New Castle.

Deb Kedanis is clerk-typist 2 in the Office of Alumni Relations. She is a life-long resident of Grove City, and has been employed at SRU since the start of 2000. She resides in Grove City with her husband, Dave, and has two children, Kim and Bob.
